ROAR Offshore Fort Myers Beach Is Back!
Get ready for engines, spray, and serious speed — ROAR Offshore Fort Myers Beach is returning for the first time in five years, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest weekends of the year! Mark your calendars for September 11–13, 2026, as elite offshore powerboat teams from across the country line up along our iconic Gulf shoreline for three days of racing, live music, and island-wide celebration.
What to Expect All Weekend
The ROAR Offshore Fort Myers Beach race weekend isn’t just a race — it’s a full festival! Between heats, you’ll find live music, food, family-friendly activities, and plenty of chances to meet the drivers and crews up close as they show off their boats.
Friday, September 11: Teams Arrive
The weekend kicks off with race team arrivals, inspections, and official practice sessions. The Race Village opens at 9:00 a.m. with boats on display, vendor booths, and interactive exhibits — a great first look at the machines you’ll see flying across the water all weekend.
Saturday, September 12: Qualifying & the Pit Party
Saturday brings qualifying heats and high-speed racing action, plus the always-popular public Pit Party. Grab a spot on the beach, post up at a waterfront restaurant, or watch from the water if you’ve got a boat of your own — there’s no shortage of great vantage points along the shoreline.
Sunday, September 13: Championship Day
The weekend wraps up with morning warm-ups, the premier offshore races, an awards ceremony, and a special America 250 Closing Celebration honoring the competitors as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary festivities.
Best Ways to Watch
Beachfront viewing is typically free, so grab a chair and stake out a spot on the sand. Prefer a sit-down view? Several waterfront restaurants along Fort Myers Beach offer a front-row seat to the action with a cocktail in hand. Keep an eye on roaroffshore.com for the latest schedule details and viewing updates as the event gets closer.
Make It Your Home Base for the Weekend
With tens of thousands of spectators expected, a Fort Myers Beach vacation rental puts you right in the middle of the action — walk to the beach, grab breakfast nearby, and be steps from the Race Village all weekend long. Browse our Fort Myers Beach vacation rentals to lock in your spot before race weekend fills up, or check our full Southwest Florida listings if you’re open to either coastline.
