Looking for a break from the sun that still feels like a Fort Myers Beach vacation? We’ve got you covered! The Fort Myers Beach Art Association & Gallery is hosting Essence of Water, a gorgeous exhibit celebrating the beauty and movement of the Gulf Coast waters that make this island so special — and it’s running all the way through September 5, 2026.
What You’ll See
Essence of Water brings together original paintings and mixed-media pieces from FMBAA’s talented member artists, working in watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, and more. Expect everything from realistic coastal scenes you’ll swear you recognize from your own beach walk to bold, abstract interpretations of the Gulf’s ever-changing moods. Every piece is an original and available for purchase, so it’s a fun spot to pick up a one-of-a-kind souvenir of your trip!
Plan Your Visit
The gallery is tucked into Cypress Square Shopping Center at 13451 McGregor Blvd. — right near Prawnbrokers, Blu Sushi, and Bellini’s, so it’s easy to pair with dinner. Summer hours run noon to 6 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, through October 14, and admission is completely free.
Bonus for art lovers: FMBAA hosts a free artist talk every Saturday at 11 a.m., so you can hear directly from the creators before you browse!
